In 2008 I began studying my Bachelor of Arts majoring in Education, English and Theater, considering the prospect of high school teaching. After a lot of contemplation and a bit of mental drama, I decided I’d rather “do” than “teach” and graduated with my BA in 2010 with a firm idea in my head.
In 2011 I began my Masters of Journalism and picked up some valuable and interesting skills. During my degree I had to opportunity to intern at various online publications while juggling a couple of casual retail jobs.
At the end of 2012 I graduated from my Masters and decided to take a well earned break after 6 years of university and part time work. I booked a one way flight up to Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territory and spent eight months working odd jobs and trying to do a little writing. I managed to get myself my first freelance job with an NT lifestyle magazine and was published in print (yipee!).
In July of 2013 I decided that was enough fun, and it was time to get down to business and decided to move back home to Sydney just in time for August. Since then I’ve been on the hunt for my next adventure with high hopes of finding it soon!
Let the inspiration come!
